- Nish Dharmaratne is the lead industry specialist (Banking) in the Worldwide Financial Services Industry, Amazon Web Services (AWS) for Australia & New Zealand. In her current role, she is setting & leading strategic initiatives to deepen the customer penetration & growth for AWS for Financial Services Industry (Banking). Nish has over 27 years of experience in banking across Australia and Asia. Prior to AWS, she was the Managing Director, Global Head of Product for Global Transaction Banking (GTS) at Westpac Institutional Bank based in Australia. She led the GTS Product organisation and transformation programs across Digital channels, Liquidity products and Payment Services. During her 20-year tenure at Citibank, she led GTS business in Singapore and held various roles with Citi in APAC leading regional businesses in Liquidity, Payments, Investments, Client Solutions and Relationship Management covering 14 Asian markets. She has a Bachelor of Banking & Finance from Monash University, Australia, Postgraduate from Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK & Master of Business Administration from University of Sri Jay, Colombo. She has also completed the Chief Executive Women (CEW) program in Australia, High Potential Leadership program at Harvard University & Women in Leadership program at UCLA, USA. She is a Fellow at FINSIA & Member of Chartered Institute of Marketing, United Kingdom. Her previous board experience includes Board of Director at AusPayNet (APN) & Qvalent Pty Ltd (wholly owned technology subsidiary of Westpac). Current Board of Director positions include the Advisory Board position at the Women In Payments (WIP), Australia & New Zealand & Life Education NSW Ltd, Australia, a not for profits education institute.
